The Design of Floating Valve Tower Separation of Methanol And Water System
Abstract : Methanol is a monohydric alcohols and it possess the most simple structure, it also an important industrial raw material, and it widely used in production, life and other fields. Determine the main size, process design, selection of equipment such as reboiler and condenser. Ultimately, we should accomplish the design and equipment selection of methanol and water process. According to the design task to determine the operating conditions. The task of this design is separate methanol and water , our processing capacity is 4000kg per hour, and the methanol mass fraction in the feed solution is 0.273, after the separation, we require in the distillate fraction of methanol is 0.965, the residue in the night is 0.006. According to the above requirements, after calculation, we can get the size of the tower , that is we need 27 tower plates, the diameter of the column is 1.83, and the tower height is 6.5m.
