Title Experimental Study on the Law of   Cube Fragmentation’s Reduction Speed
Abstract
Most of combat such as range-kill and wound, antiaircraft defense adopt fragmentation warhead. It makes use of fragmentation to damage the target. The fragmentation’s efficiency to kill and injure the target has lots of relations with its shape, mass and speed when hitting the objective. Prefabricating the fragmentation as the cause of stimulation to impact the gunpowder and explosive in a high speed is one of the important experimental ways to evaluate the safety of gunpowder and explosive.
The paper establishes the data collection system based on PXI bus, which uses aluminum foil target as the area cut, on the basis of flying features of the cubical fragments. The firing experiment is carried out with high, medium and low speed on cubical fragments by changing the amount of loading ammunition, based on the features of the transmitting device. With the data collected, the attenuation coefficient can be reached by the way of linear regression to analyze the speed, displacement and time of the flying fragments, which leads to the attenuation model of different speed. On the basis of the model, the paper explores the uncertainty of the forecast on the flying speed of cubical fragments, along with analyzing the factors of the forecast, which finally leads to the establishment of the model for uncertainty of the speed forecast.
