Title   Study on the method of target distance extraction   based on digital full waveform
Abstract
The laser radar is not essentially different from conventional microwave radar. The study of the laser radar is an important subject of the high accuracy of the target distance extraction. In this paper, the relevant concepts of laser radar system and the development of the domestic and foreign are introduced.Given the basic principle of laser ranging, introduces the basic concept and principle of the peaks in the extraction of digital waveform to target distance estimation method, and then gives the concrete algorithm of MATLAB software simulation environment peak estimation method. The simulation flow of laser ranging system is given. At the same time, according to the concept of the Cramer Rao bound (CRB) calculated the ranging accuracy of extreme value theory and compared with the simulation results obtained data and effective assessment based on peak estimation method of the ranging accuracy. 1  绪论
1.1    研究背景
20世纪60年代，激光作为一种全新的光源出现在了人们的视线中。60 年代，在红宝石激光器问世后，人们就开始关注激光这种具有许多优良性能的光源。后来，人们用激光代替了雷达系统中的无线电波，将雷达技术拓展到了光波范围中，同时，传统意义上的雷达天线被系统的光学系统所替代。这就是激光雷达（Laser Detection and Ranging，英文缩写为 Ladar）[1]。激光雷达的测距原理是向待测目标发射激光束，该激光束经待测目标反射，产生回波信号，我们通过对回波信号与发射信号的对比分析，就可以得到待测目标的相关信息，如目标距离、方位、高度、速度、姿态、甚至形状等参数,然后就可以对目标进行探测与识别。
