Reactive Power Optimization
ABSTRACT: Reactive power optimization of power system is not only an effective means to ensure power system operation securely and economically, but also one of the most important methods to improve the voltage quality and reduce the transmission loss. In theory and practical application, the study to reactive power optimization of power system is of great significance.
Reactive optimal control in urban power system network is an efficient method for net work loss reduction and voltage improvement in the power system operation. It is also an important component of Distribution Automation System (DAS). The thesis mainly discusses reactive optimal control of urban power system net work. It is analyzed that the basic theory of reactive optimal control and its influence on power system network toss and voltage. A variety of methods have been devoted to solve the problem. The proposed approach is applied to the IEEE 6-bus system.
