Title    Finite Element Analysis of Halbach Permanent  Magnet Motor’s Electromagnetic Characteristics
Abstract
In recent years, with the development of the permanent magnetic materials and the improvement of the permanent magnet motor control, the permanent magnet motor has been widely used in aerospace, power generation, defense and many other fields. When the conventional permanent magnet motor runs at a high speed, the core loss is very large, which may decrease electrical efficiency. In addition, due to the impact of magnetic field in air gap, its power density will become lower, which limits the application in high power density micro-motors. In this paper, a special permanent magnet motor with Halbach structure is analyzed, which features higher power density, lower iron loss and higher efficiency. 源`自*六)维[论*文'网www.lwfree.cn
In this paper, the structure of the Halbach array is studied and then the model of this motor is established. The electromagnetic characteristics of Halbach motors with and without rotor core are analyzed by using Maxwell Ansoft software respectively..
